Don DeWispelare - Class of 1961
Donald J. DeWispelare, 53, of David City died Friday, Oct. 4, 1996.
Mr. DeWispelare was born Nov. 23, 1942 at David City to Frank J and Anna M. (Novak) DeWispelare. He graduated from St. Mary's High School in David City in 1961. On July 16, 1963, he married Patricia A. Coufal in Brainard, NE. He farmed and was an NC+ dealer. He was a Butler County resident all of his life.
He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Ulysses, NE, Knights of Columbus and American Legion Post 125. He served on the Rural Fire Board for 20 years, the Board of Directors of the Frontier Co-op, the School Board of District 80, the Church Board and a board member of the Beef and Pork Producers.
He served with the National Guard for 10 years.
Survivors include his mother of David City, NE, his wife, Patricia (Coufal) DeWispelare: one son, Dean, a student at the University of Nebraska Medical College-Dental College in Lincoln; two daughters, Deanne, a teacher at St. John's School in Weston, and son-in-law, Jerry Kabourek of Wahoo, NE and Dawn, a student at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln; one brother and sister-in-law, Leonard and Ollie DeWispelare of Schuyler, NE; one sister and brother-in-law, RoseLee and Robert Topil of Lincoln; and nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Dennis DeWispelare, Ron Brecka, Roger Svoboda, Mike Topil, Norman Hoeft and Rodney Hoeft.
