SERVICES HELD AT SHELBY FOR JUDY KERKMAN
Funeral services for Judy E. Kerkman, 41, of Aurora, Colo., were conducted Saturday Morning, Jan. 26, 1985, from Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Shelby. Miss Kerkman died Tuesday Jan. 22, 1985 at Aurora.
Reverends Stanley Schieffer, Frederic Schindler, Robert Roh and Adrian Herbek concelebrated the Mass of Christian Burial. Connie Schnoes, vocalist, was accompanied by Patty Davis, organist.
Pallbearers were Tom Kerkman, Jr., Steve Kerkman, Leroy Kerkman, John Schindler, Leonard Hoefer and William Rotert. Burial was in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
Relatives and friends attending the services came from Nebraska; Davenport, Ia.; Idaho Falls, Idaho; Denver, Colo. and Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.
Judy the daughter of Tony and Clara Kerkman, was born Oct. 13, 1943, at Stromsburg, Nebraska. She attended the Shelby and Sacred Heart Elementary Schools, Assumption Academy, Norfolk and graduated from St. Mary's High School, David City, Nebraska. She received her clinical training from the St. Francis School of Nursing, Grand Island, NE, and her degree in nursing from Duchesne College in Omaha.
At the time of her death, she resided in Aurora, Colo., and was employed as a registered nurse at St. Joseph's Hospital in Denver.
Survivors include her parents, Tony and Clara Kerkman of Shelby; one sister, Ann of Aurora, Colo.; three brothers, Tom of Hastings, Dale of David City and Ken of Lincoln; 14 nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one sister.
